Bed and Breakfast Thamel

Rajan was great at communicating and very helpful. The place is okay for Nepalese tourists, though I wouldn’t call it ideal for foreigners. There’s no lift and room service is limited.

I booked a room by phone four days ahead for three nights, and they confirmed it. On arrival day, I messaged to say when I’d get there but got no reply. That evening I was left on the street because they’d booked my room 😀 Nepali business

Finding the entrance took a little effort, since it’s between two shops, and the stairs were difficult for me. Street noise at night also interrupted my sleep. Still, the place was great value, and the hospitality was warm. The manager reached out on WhatsApp the day before I arrived to welcome me and ask if I needed an airport ride, which was thoughtful. The location is right in the heart of Thamel. My room was large, comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. Breakfast was simple but freshly made, and it felt like staying with a kind local family, which was probably true. When I left, they let me hang around, stored my luggage, and found me a taxi to the airport at a good price. Thanks for the warm welcome!

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was roomy with great amenities. I’d definitely come back.
