The hostel was clean, comfortable, and friendly, and the staff were lovely. We felt welcome throughout our stay, and I’d stay here again. I do want to give a serious warning about the trekking agency they recommended, Outdoor Himalayan Treks. We booked the Manaslu Circuit through their partner, and it became an extremely dangerous experience. They encouraged us to set off even though the forecast predicted several days of severe rain and thunderstorms. Those warnings were ignored, and we encountered landslides, blocked trails, helicopter rescues, and multiple accidents in very unsafe conditions. This wasn’t the hostel’s fault, but the recommendation was unsafe. I’d book a trek independently with an agency that takes safety more seriously.

The staff were attentive and very accommodating, and I had a comfortable room for a very reasonable price. Sunny and his brother welcomed me so warmly at Best Hostel. Everything was perfect, and I’d highly recommend staying there.

I’ve stayed here many times when visiting Kathmandu. It’s peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle, while still close enough to get to anything I need easily. Sunny and his family of colleagues always make it a pleasure to stay. 🙏🏻
