Inside the hotel, it feels like you’ve stepped into another era, even though it’s right in busy thamel. We stayed in the Everest suite, one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. The place may look a little dated beside the newest luxury hotels, but it’s great value. The staff were calm and genuinely friendly, and the garden cafe had a wonderful atmosphere. We tried the Italian food, and it was as good as the best Italian restaurants in town. Such an unexpected retreat.

Dalai-La Boutique Hotel is a restful, comfortable spot right in Thamel. The rooms are clean, cared for, and nicely designed, with a cozy feel. Staff are friendly and helpful whenever you need anything. Shops, restaurants, and attractions are easy to reach from here, making it a good fit for a work trip or a holiday.

The courtyard garden gives this place a quiet oasis feel, even though it’s right in the middle of Thamel. The rooms are beautifully put together, and featuring work by local artists adds a distinctive touch. Breakfast and cappuccino are excellent, and the staff always make me feel at home and well cared for. I’ve visited Nepal once or twice a year and stayed at dozens of Kathmandu hotels over the past 20 years. Since finding this tranquil little boutique hotel, I don’t want to stay anywhere else.

Even with its central location near dubar marg & thamel and Kathmandu’s lively areas, the hotel had a calm atmosphere. Breakfast was great, and I’d be happy to return. I really enjoyed staying at Dalai-La Boutique Hotel. The rooms were cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed, but the kind, attentive staff stood out most. They were ready to help and made me feel comfortable and cared for as soon as I arrived.
