Durbar Hotel and Residence

The staff were friendly and behaved well, with a lot of support and extra care for individual needs. Great location, close to hanuman dokha square.

Breakfast was a nice part of the stay, with a buffet one day and à la carte another. The attentive staff made us feel welcome whenever we came and went, and the resident feline added to the breakfast fun. She was VERY hyper, borderline a nut 😻😽🙀. The hotel feels like an oasis with a touch of luxury, tucked slightly away from busy Thamel street. It made a great first impression at the entrance, and the rooms were spacious, especially the long washroom. I think there are four rooms on each floor. It's a very reasonably priced mid-range place. My one complaint was noise: footsteps in slippers from the rooms above carried over the wooden floor, and from our room on the 1## floor we could hear front desk activity late at night. Even so, this was one of the best places we stayed in Nepal, and I highly recommend it.

We had a great time, and all the staff were lovely and accommodating. The buffet breakfast was just enough. We stayed on the 4th floor, so the lack of a lift or elevator might not suit everyone.

The complimentary breakfast was a lovely way to start each day, and the amenities were top-notch. My room was charming and spotlessly clean, with thoughtful details that made the stay feel special. The staff were warm and made me feel right at home. Durbar Hotel and Residence was a delightful experience from start to finish, and I'd highly recommend it for a cozy, memorable stay.
