Himalayan Ghar

The location was perfect, and the rooms were clean with great food. sujata at reception and the other staff, shubu, bina, ajay, shekhar,thaneswor, were efficient and quick to help. Manager ishwor deserves special thanks for coordinating everything and giving us great recommendations around the place. A must stay, 10/10!

There was no lighting in the dark alley where the hotel sits. I called to ask for pickup, but nobody answered, and nobody came when I called again. The service at Himalayan Ghor was pathetic. The mustached manager was irritatingly talkative and kept trying to sell me a package I didn't want. Never again.

The shared areas were kept spotless, and the staff were super friendly. Our apartment style room was roomy and comfortable, with a clean, modern feel. There was a lingering food smell in the kitchen, though. Still, highly recommended.

I spent ten nights at Himalayan Ghar Hotel and had no cleanliness problems at all. My room and the rest of the hotel were clean, despite having read reviews suggesting otherwise. The staff were very friendly. It's just outside Thamel, so away from the noise, with lots of good restaurants and shops nearby. My only real miss was having more vegan or vegetarian choices at breakfast. I ended up eating at a nearby café each morning.
