Hotel Barahi Kathmandu

I’d stay here again. The location is very central, the service was great, and the staff were friendly and hospitable. I only held back a star because guests in the room next to mine were loud one night.

The location is one of Barahi Kathmandu’s strong points. It’s central and handy for getting around the city and reaching major attractions. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and comfortable, and I found the staff attentive, with hospitality that felt up to an international standard for foreign visitors. I was disappointed by what seemed to be a clear difference in both treatment and price based on nationality. Foreign guests get reasonable room rates, while Nepali customers are charged significantly more. That gave me the impression that local guests aren’t valued as much. The service and experience should be equal for everyone, so I think Barahi Kathmandu should reconsider separate rates for Nepali and foreign customers. Fair, transparent pricing for all would make the welcome feel genuine. The place offers good location and solid service, especially for visitors from abroad, but this pricing issue needs to improve.

Miss Reshma Rayamajhi was so sweet and professional, and she made sure we were comfortable the whole time. Her care and positive energy really stood out. I had a great time hanging out with friends at Hotel Barahi, Kathmandu. The place was clean, cozy, and had a welcoming, stylish feel, with a peaceful but fun atmosphere. The food was amazing, and it felt both luxurious and comfortable. It’s a good place to relax, spend time with friends, or treat yourself. 10/10, I’d go again.

The one thing that seemed a bit much was the 10 euros I paid for 2 small bottles of mineral water. Still, if I return to Kathmandu, Barahi Hotel will be my choice after such a good stay. The hotel feels cozy and pleasant, with kind, attentive staff. Breakfast has plenty of variety, the coffee is excellent, and Rashmi and Kabita do a good job. My room was nicely furnished and very clean, with good quality mattresses and sheets and a beautiful city view. It’s a beautiful hotel in a central location.
