The hotel is one street off the main road, so it's quieter while still close to shops. There's even a small convenience store in the street. Staff greeted us with tea and showed us to our rooms. The rooms had everything we needed, comfortable beds, and an attached toilet and shower. Downstairs there's a restaurant, or you can sit outside. The menu is big enough and includes international dishes; everything we ordered tasted great. The hotel also offers taxi service with comfortable cars, and we used it a few times to get to and from the airport. A nice stay. If I come back to Nepal, I'll stay here again.

This was our second visit, and we couldn't have been more satisfied. The staff are always ready to help with whatever we need, and the hospitality is better than at any hotel we've stayed at in Nepal, India, or the US. The continental breakfast is tasty and filling. They have car service, or it's easy to get a cab a few minutes down the street. We'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Kathmandu, especially Thamel.

The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly, but the rooms need attention. Mine wasn't clean, and the pillowcases had stains. The windows had only netting, no glass. The room looked much less nice than the pictures, and old couches and tables left barely any space to walk.

At Hotel Blue Horizon, the staff were attentive and courteous, making sure my needs were taken care of. My room was cozy, clean, and well equipped, and the hot shower was a lovely way to relax after a long day. The food was delicious, with a varied menu and dishes prepared very well. A comfortable stay with great food and service.

I've stayed here both before and after my Everest trek. The rooms are cozy and nice, and the staff are really friendly. There's a beautiful outdoor courtyard where you can sit with tea or a meal, and food and shopping are just a short walk away. Highly recommend.
