Provin, the owner, was kind and generous, and always ready to help. He knows a lot about hospitality and trekking, and gave plenty of information in English. I spent three weeks here and would recommend Monkey Bunky for any length of stay. The hostel is on a quiet street, with restaurants, shops, big convenience stores, and ring-road buses all a short walk away. Around 5:30 each morning, a big group of macaques usually passes by. They're fun to watch, almost like a little circus. The place is spacious and spread over several levels, with decent dorms and comfortable shared areas. It's kept quite clean and tidy. There's also a rooftop with city views and space to dry laundry. Breakfast is included from 0800-1000: the same omelette, two pieces of toast, jam, and black tea or coffee each day. I enjoyed it and appreciated having it. Reception also has a secure storeroom where you can leave extra luggage for free while trekking.
