Hotel Holiday House is in Thamel, Kathmandu, about 20.9 km from Nagarkot, with Tribhuvan Airport 5 km away. It has air-conditioned rooms and free Wi-Fi throughout. Rooms come with cable flat-screen TVs and private bathrooms with showers; some also have a sitting area. Shops are available at the property, and guests can rent bicycles or cars. The area is popular for biking, shopping, food, and hiking. The hotel was set up to offer high-class meals and accommodation to business travelers and nature lovers. People praised its walkable location near shops and restaurants, helpful and friendly staff, large bright rooms, spacious rooms and big beds, comfortable beds, cleanliness, and good breakfast. One guest said they'd stay again on their next trip. Children are welcome. Children under 12 stay free when using extra beds. Older children and adults pay USD 10 per night for an extra bed. Only one extra bed is allowed per room, and it must be requested and confirmed by management. Extra charges aren't included automatically in the total and must be paid separately during the stay.

The property is well located, but the hospitality is very poor. The staff, including the manager, seem unskilled. Hot water is also an issue, and the hotel gate is shut at 10 PM.
