Hotel Kamal

For Rs. 3000, I expected working facilities, but neither the TV nor the AC worked. The bathroom had just two towels and no basic items like a toothbrush or toothpaste. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and reception didn't respond properly when I called. I stayed at Hotel Kamal in Kamalpokhari and came away very disappointed. I feel my money was wasted and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The room was clean, and the washroom was neat and tidy. Staff were friendly, the service was nice, and the food tasted good and was up to the mark. There was some nighttime noise from the road, but it was tolerable with a cozy bed at a budget price. I had a fantastic stay and hope to come back on my next visit.

The owner and staff went out of their way to help our group of three from Australia, whether with laundry, arranging rides, or keeping a bag for us while we went trekking. We stayed between treks and other adventures in Nepal. The hotel was conveniently located for the airport and getting taxis or rides, and Thamel was walkable, though not nearby. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and nicely air conditioned. They were renovating and installing an elevator during our stay. Thanks for a good visit.

I've been coming back to Hotel Kamal for quite a while, and every visit has exceeded my expectations. The new team's warm hospitality and impeccable service made this stay memorable. The hotel has really turned things around since the challenges of the pandemic. Thanks to Hotel Kamal for all the effort. I'm already looking forward to many more enjoyable stays.
