Hotel Tranquil

The basic breakfast was a lovely bonus, and the staff were so sweet and helped us with everything we needed. Nirakar, the owner, was amazing too. He has a farm house about 2.5 hours from Kathmandu, which we decided to visit, and we really recommend coming here! It's a very quiet neighborhood, about a five-minute walk from thamel. Our room was very clean, and the shower was awesome.

We got a light breakfast in the morning, which we hadn't expected, and the team were very nice and helpful. The hotel is clean, with hot water all the time and fresh sheets and towels. There's a great rooftop with a lovely view. It's in a quiet alley very close to Thamel, so it feels near the action but away from the noise. Best value for money we found in katmandu.

It's about a 10-minute walk from Thamel, close enough to enjoy the bustle while still having a peaceful place to return to. Service was decent, with polite, friendly staff who were ready to help. I did find it a little pricey compared with other places nearby. If you care most about quiet and clean rooms and don't mind paying a bit more, it could be a good fit.
