Kathmandu Regency Hotel

It’s easy to get around because the hotel is on a main road. The rooms didn’t look like the photos at all, though, and they weren’t very clean. There was profanity written in permanent marker on the mattress, which was unpleasant and made me think they weren’t cleaning it. The toilet was very dirty, and the bathroom hadn’t been deep cleaned.

Not worth it. The room was okay, but there was a spider in the bathroom and the shower water wasn’t hot. The room service phone didn’t work. The staff were willing to move us, but the other room wasn’t any different.

I was disappointed by the mismatch between the booking details and the room: my reservation specified air conditioning, but the room didn’t have it. It became uncomfortably warm, especially at night, and I couldn’t rest properly. With the weather during my stay, that was especially frustrating. Accurate amenity information matters for a comfortable stay, and missing air conditioning significantly affected my comfort and satisfaction. I hope they review and update the room listings so they match what guests are told to expect.

I spent four nights at Kathmandu regency hotel in Kathmandu and had an unforgettable vacation. It’s right in the heart of Thamel, with major attractions only a short walk away. My room was spacious, clean, and decorated in a modern but cozy style. The bed was very comfortable, and the large windows had stunning views. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help, and went out of their way to make my stay. Everything was ok.
