Sacred Trails Homestay

The rooms were set up for comfort, and the balconies had breathtaking views. My parents and I had an unforgettable stay at Sacred Trails Homestay. Hari Chandra and his wife made us feel right at home. They were warm and kind, offered us a choice of rooms, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I highly recommend it for a peaceful retreat with wonderful views and welcoming hosts. It's a lovely place to appreciate Nepal's beauty.

The roof terrace has a lovely view of upper Kathmandu and the surrounding hills. The house is about 200 m higher in elevation than central Kathmandu or Boudhanath, so the air is much better quality and temperatures a bit lower, which is great in hot season. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I liked the location too, close to the forest for hiking and exercise while still near the center of Budhanilkatha.

Breakfast was delicious every morning, and Mr. Giri even made us an authentic Nepali dinner that I'll dream about for the rest of my life. We also liked the short walk to a nearby grocery store. The homestay is a short drive from central Kathmandu, so it's peaceful and quiet while still close to everything. From the moment we arrived, Mr. Giri and his wife welcomed us like family. Their kindness made the stay incredibly special. The rooms had breathtaking views of Kathmandu, and I honestly slept on the comfiest bed I've ever had. Sacred Homestay felt like a home away from home, and I'm genuinely sad to leave. If I return to Nepal, this will be the first place I go. Highly recommend for comfort, warmth, and unforgettable hospitality.

Our host, Mr Giri, was very kind and made incredible food. The rooms were beautiful, and so were the views. Staying in this home stay made it easy to explore the town.
