The Exotic House

The location is pleasantly quiet, while still close to sightseeing. The staff were awesome and always helpful. A young man and woman seemed to be working most of the time, and he made the best breakfast potatoes. Our room was comfortable with nice decor. The patio was dusty, though, so we didn’t spend much time out there. We really enjoyed our stay.

A nice little place for the price. You’re on the edge of Thamel, less than a two-minute walk from the busy center, but it’s peaceful enough to sleep. The rooms are clean, roomy, and have good water pressure and warm showers. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make us comfortable. Breakfast is simple but tasty, just right before heading out to explore Kathmandu or the surrounding area.

It’s easy to get around from here, with Kathmandu’s lively neighborhoods, tourism offices, money exchanges, gardens, restaurants, cafes, and bars all within walking distance. Good value for money. The staff are humble, the atmosphere is friendly, and the service and facilities are suitable. My room had enough space, storage and bathroom facilities were satisfactory, and the bedding was warm and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay.

The Exotic House was a lovely boutique place to stay, and the service was very nice. Thank you for accommodating me and my guests. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place in Kathmandu. It’s close to the tourist hub of Thamel, with Kathmandu durbar square and swoyambhu nath stupa within walking distance. The room was spacious, quiet, and clean.
