South Of The Barber Hostel

Victor and his wife, the owner, were very friendly and caring, and we felt welcome as soon as we walked in. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our time at this lovely hostel in Greymouth. It was neat, clean, and relaxed throughout, with comfortable beds and well equipped rooms, kitchen, lobby, and bathrooms. The wifi was good, and supermarkets and restaurants were only a five-minute walk away. We even had a sea view from our room. I couldn’t find anything negative, and the price was more than fair. Highly recommend staying here!

The rooms were cozy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We spent two nights here while travelling around New Zealand, and it was the best place we stayed. Victor was a great host, always smiling and happy to chat. Thanks for everything, and good luck with the B&B! :)

The hosts made us feel very welcome and were friendly throughout. We loved the historic interior and the views over Greymouth, and there was plenty of room for our whole company. The communal kitchen and dining area had lots of space too. It’s an easy walk into the town centre. I’d strongly recommend staying at The South of the Barber.

This hostel has a cozy, homely feel, and I really enjoyed staying here. It’s more geared towards relaxing than partying, so it may not suit you if you want to party at the hostel. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff were amazing, doing everything they could to make our day. They recommended a nice walk and some cool sights.
