We got a refund after speaking to the owner, who asked what we expected. I said a clean room without mould would be great. We checked in at the motel, then drove out to154 Kaniere Road Accommodation, and the room was riddled with mould and stank. I know it was a budget stay, but it should still have been clean and mould free. How this meets the minimum health standards has got me wondering. What the website shows and what you get aren't the same. We ended up staying at the top ten in Greymouth instead. For $15 dollars more, it had the same facilities if not more, and was clean and mould free.

The bathroom light may need changing, and the wifi could be better. Still, it was a lovely, quiet place with a very comfortable double bed, a dining room I liked, and a garden. The accommodation is really nice, with beautiful views around. Perfect if you're looking for somewhere quiet with a comfy bed. Cheers.

The shared facilities were a drawback: there was just one toilet and one shower for four cabins of two or three people each. The farm is out among the fields, away from town, and you have to go into town first to collect the keys. Wi-Fi only worked in the middle of the garden. There were heaps of mosquitoes, especially in the kitchen and lounge. The kitchen was small, with no salt, pepper or oil, though instant coffee and tea were provided.

There were different animals all around the room, which was lovely. The WiFi was good, the kitchen well equipped, and the beds were OK. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

The bathroom was very poor, and it felt like leaving the farm.
