Andrew was incredibly helpful, and I loved the included Fiordland documentary. The town is charming, and the location was perfect for a night before our Milford sound cruise. The place itself is spacious, amazing, and fully stocked. I’d recommend it 100%.

We loved having a night that felt like home during a long holiday. The Cinema Suites is pricier than just about anywhere else in Te Anau, but to me it was worth paying for that feeling. The suite was spacious, beautiful, comfortable, and cosy, just what we needed after being away for a while. It’s not often we can stretch out on a couch and watch Netflix on holiday, and the hostess’s bottle of wine and fruit were a nice touch. Breakfast next door at the Sandfly Cafe was wonderful, and the food trailer behind the building served some great food. We were also only a five-minute walk from the Real Journeys center. My wife and I stayed one night in Te Anau, and I hope to visit again next time I’m in town. Location: 5 Stars. Room: 5 Stars. Hospitality: 5 Stars.

I booked Cinema Suites as a special school holiday treat for my family and arranged other things around the confirmed booking. The next day, I was called about a double booking, apparently because someone else had booked by phone after me. The person I spoke with said she’d check with the owner, then called back and reconfirmed our booking. The following day came another call about the double booking, this time saying they couldn’t accommodate us. When I asked about the calls the day before, Sarah said, “my colleague lied to you.” Incredibly unprofessional, disorganised and disappointing service. Don’t believe a word they say.

After a long tramp, this was a lovely place to rest, with plush comfort and delicious treats provided. The shower felt like standing under a Fiordland waterfall. Magic.
