We ended up needing an unexpected night in Whangarei and booked at the last minute from the driveway. The host was so friendly and accommodating, made up our room without any fuss, and we had a relaxing evening eating and chatting on the deck. The location is excellent, close to the highway. Everything was clean and lovely, the soft bed in ROOM B slept up to three, and the shower was amazing. Breakfast was continental and filling, and the host makes an amazing coffee you should try. Charlie the dog is seven and adorable. If you hear or see a helicopter, it’s a rescue helicopter, not police, which is really cool to see. The host and her house are five-star. Just book, it’s 100% better than a hotel.

The room was clean and vintage. The lovely host made me coffee in the morning, and it was better than star bxxks. Charlie Brown was a fun dog to play with too. Definitely recommend staying here.

A roomy house with comfortable beds and a relaxed feel, plus a friendly, helpful host. The location is handy, close enough to the highway and shops, but still private and safe. Parking is off the road, with room for a boat or trailer as well. It would suit a couple, one person, or a small group, whether stopping briefly or staying a few days.

We booked at the last minute and felt welcome as soon as we arrived. The gardens were very well kept, the rooms immaculate, and breakfast and fresh coffee were fantastic. A quiet, relaxing stay.
