Sand Diamond Hotel

Good service, and great access to the free zone.

I just got back after 10 days here. The rooms are very old-fashioned and definitely need an upgrade, though the AC worked well. They charge for every little thing. The front desk staff were pleasant, and the guys who open and close the entrance were too. You get a ticket when you enter, but as a guest you don't have to pay to leave. The cleaning staff were the worst I've ever encountered, rude and terrible. There are events on weekends that anyone can attend on the first and second floors. There is only one pool, and it looked dirty and cloudy. I went once and never again. There's no lifeguard, and the pool depth isn't marked. Everything feels very outdated. They do laundry, but charge for each item, $2.50 per sock and $3.00 per pair of underwear. I traveled with my four kids and did laundry outside the hotel for way less. The stay was just okay, and again, the cleaning staff were rude and terrible.

The stay left me less than satisfied. The toiletries weren't replenished, the shower didn't work, and towels that previous guests had used were reused. These problems made my overall stay worse.

It's a really great place. The people, cleanliness, and waitresses are excellent. It's right in the ZAONA LIBRE, so it's a great place to start an early shopping day after a good breakfast buffet. TV and internet 👌💯
