I paid just $25 and was very happy to find this little gem. I arrived without a reservation while on a motorcycle trip toward Costa Rica, and the lovely, friendly staff member put me in a clean little room and gave me the Wi-Fi. After dinner, I came back to somewhere really quiet, with no dogs or roosters, just silence. The place is clean and pretty, with nice lights, a cute kitchen, and laundry. I'm from the USA too, though not a Trumpet. Maybe people complaining are from the USA or Northern Europe and need a reality check. Ariel was the night staff, EXCELENTE! I'll definitely come back when I'm passing through.

The accommodations were clean and great, even luxurious for the price, and we got useful information about the surroundings and facilities. Majirna was especially friendly. I enjoyed eating and cooking together, and we even got free coffee.

My friend and I stayed here while traveling to Costa Rica, hoping for advice on the journey and border rules, but nobody knew anything. It was strange for a hostel near the border to have no idea how to get there or cross. The shower was literally a pipe in the wall, with no hot water, and the place is in the middle of nowhere. I'd strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. There's a kitchen guests can use, laundry service at a very reasonable price, and a refrigerator in the room.
