Hotel San Francisco Pardo

The breakfast was amazing every morning, with lots of tasty choices, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. San Francisco Pardo Hotel was a great place to stay. The location was fine, with some places in walking distance, though it wasn’t as central as other hotels we’d stayed in. We could still get around with a short ride or a bit of walking. At check-in, they initially tried to charge us an extra $1000 that didn’t match our booking.com reservation. They fixed the price once we pointed it out, but check the total carefully when paying by credit card.

My partner and I had a terrible experience at this hotel. The price wasn’t worth the service or the rooms they gave us, especially 202 and 100. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, at least not for more than one night.

There wasn’t much service available. When we asked for room service, we were told the chef wasn’t there, so they couldn’t offer it. The buffet breakfast had no variety either. Not a great experience.

Other than the noise, it’s clean, reasonably priced, and within walking distance of some restaurants. The bathrooms have attached hairdryers, and there’s an elevator. They’ll also store your luggage. On my recent stay, kids were slamming doors and running through the halls on the fourth floor. They knocked once on our door and then tried to open it. I called the front desk twice before they stopped. I’d stayed before going to Machu Pichu and had no problem then, but groups of school kids running amuck in hotels seems to be an issue in Peru, and staff don’t do anything about it. I had to leave a hotel in Arequipa because of rowdy kids who wouldn’t be quiet and a hotel that didn’t care.
