We left as soon as we could. This was the worst hostal we stayed in during five months in South America. The laundry was a mess too. We left our dirty clothes at reception before a five-day trip to Machu Picchu, but got them back just as dirty. When we asked, they said someone must have forgotten, without even an apology. They washed them the next day, but charged much more than the quoted price per kilo. There were bed bugs, and two doctors confirmed the bites. They also shut off the water at night without telling us at check-in. I was left soapy when it suddenly stopped. The garbage drop-off point is right outside, where neighbors leave their trash, so it smelled bad and was noisy. Trucks and rubbish made for a miserable stay.
