Qorichaska Hostel

The rooms are freezing, with no heating, and the water is only lukewarm at best. They can provide a stove that barely works, but it costs extra and nobody even told us about that charge. Breakfast was awful and exactly the same every morning. Service was slow and bad, and nobody at the hotel speaks English. You can't pay by card either, and PayPal is possible only with an extra 6% fee. Definitely not recommended.

The location can be hard to find, and not every driver knows the exact way there. If you ask at the desk and have the driver's phone number, the staff will kindly give them directions. The rooms are very good. There's a small breakfast area, and while there aren't many choices, breakfast is good and helps you start the day.

For my school trip I stayed in three different rooms, each with its own feel and unique flair, and they were all super nice and spacious. The place felt very safe, the staff were great, and the space and location made the stay really enjoyable. Breakfast wasn't great, though: cold cheese and bread, packaged ham, and bananas. I was adjusting to a cold climate, so it wasn't my favorite, and since breakfast was part of the school trip I had to buy food elsewhere. If you're okay with that or don't plan to eat breakfast at the Hostal, I'd recommend it 10/10.

The courtyard is beautiful, and the rooms were clean and quiet. They had a great breakfast offering, plus customer service around the clock.
