Petit Palace Apart Hotel Suites

We'd stayed here for the first few nights and it was great, so we booked it again for the second half of our trip. When we got back, there was no room for us. The staff and manager lied to us, then left us trying for two hours to get help. All they did was try to upsell us a different hotel in a crappy location, at a higher price than the one on booking. Stay away if you need a place to stay and decent customer service.

The staff were helpful, and I felt safe walking to or from kennedy park and the nearby areas even at odd hours. The location was very convenient, and breakfast came to the room. I paid 30, 35 dollars a night, so it was an affordable stay.

Our neighbor was smoking, and the manager dealt with it quickly. He's extremely proactive, works hard, and is a master of customer service. The all-male staff provide incredible service, though you may need to do a little wrangling to get everything just right. That can happen at large five-star hotels and resorts, and nothing here struck me as out of the ordinary. The manager and front desk agent also kindly helped me print my documents, and that's why I took the time to write this at no charge. All the best, fellas! I found the hotel comfortable, and it's a lovely little property, but it needs more cleaning staff to become immaculate and shouldn't be allowed to fall to pieces. Moisture damage and a lack of professional care are showing. I'm a mold and water infiltration specialist, and I think every room needs a dehumidifier cleaned daily or every couple of days, plus a full top-to-bottom clean that includes laundering all the curtains and cleaning the carpets. After cleaning, the bathrooms need fungal-resistant paint, and each room should have one or two space heaters to help reduce mold. I'd also switch from breakfast delivered to the room to a small grab-and-go setup in the lobby. That could reduce the resources spent on delivery and free them up for more cleaners.

The suite was lovely, with a pantry area, and the staff were great. We had to keep asking for shampoo and conditioner, but they got them for us quickly. The bathroom ceiling has water damage and looks like mold is growing, so the hotel could use some remodeling. It was quiet enough to sleep well, with bars and restaurants about a 10-15 minute walk away. I'd skip the complimentary breakfast, though. It was pale and tasteless compared with the cheap, authentic Peruvian breakfasts available nearby.
