The bed wasn't especially comfortable, as the mattress wasn't very firm, and our room had a very small window. There was also no hot water in the shower in the evening. On the plus side, the hotel is in a great spot in Trujillo's historic center, in a beautiful old building. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the staff were nice and attentive. That's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Susan at reception made us feel welcome and was always happy to help, and the bar staff kept things relaxed and friendly. Breakfast was a standout, fresh and tasty. Our room was spotless and the hotel was well cared for. We did hear some street noise at night from our room, but it was still a great stay at Costa del Sol in Trujillo.

The location worked really well for us, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were professional and lovely, and both the restaurant and bar had excellent food and drinks. A really amazing hotel.

The location is good and the rooms have plenty of equipment, but the ones facing Plaza de Armas get very noisy. The pool, gym and sauna look quite dated and seem to be missing basic upkeep. Breakfast was disappointing too, the buffet ingredients were pretty mediocre.

The main issue for us was how loud it got. There was some kind of party or karaoke with heavy bass every night, on top of the Plaza noise in the evenings and mornings. We stayed for three nights while visiting Trujillo, and the room itself was standard and clean. We live in a big city, so we're used to noise, but anyone who needs quiet to sleep should avoid this place.
