The house reef and lush green surroundings make Tawali feel magical, and the resort is wonderfully peaceful. The food was amazing, and the staff were great in every way. Diving added plenty of adventure: the guides were experts who could spot even the tiniest nudibranchs and show us the wonders underwater. We loved our stay and would love to return. Thanks to Albert for looking after me in the ocean and showing us what’s under the sea, Charlie for being an awesome skipper, Nathan for his diving expertise, and Matthew for helping on the boat. We’re grateful to Mary, Helen, Jessie, and Wayne for taking care of us, and to the chefs for the amazing daily feasts. Special thanks to Gideon, who ran the place like an expert even though he was there only a short time.

The restaurant balcony has a mesmerising view. The hotel itself is very basic, though the rooms are large and comfortable, and the food was a bit boring and simple. They served cabbage every day instead of local vegetables, so there’s room to improve the meals. The diving shop team was super. Nathan, Albert (aka Danny Glover), Jonah, and the boat crew made us feel comfortable over our multiple days of diving. Their ability to spot macro life is mind blowing!

The house reef is amazing, and the resort really feels like paradise. The staff were wonderful and the tours were great. I’d definitely recommend visiting the nearby village to see their traditional dancing.

Milne Bay’s beautiful sights and outstanding marine life made this an incredible getaway in PNG. There are plenty of places to snorkel and dive, with so much to see underwater. The staff went above and beyond with their hospitable service and range of aquatic activities. Couldn’t recommend Tawali enough, 10/10.

The snorkelling was some of the best I’ve ever done, especially on the house reef, and the food was excellent. Staff were also able to accommodate various allergies. Nathan organised a range of activities for us each day, and everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We had a fantastic 4 night stay at Tawali in a beautiful, tranquil setting.
