Loloata Island Resort

The staff, security, and manager were all great, and we had a really pleasant, relaxed day by the pool with some volleyball. We were a group of 23 after a few others cancelled late. Ferry check-in was quick and easy, just a copy of our photo IDs, and the boat ride took about 15 minutes. We were welcomed by friendly staff, then took a quick walk around the island. Definitely worth doing. Thank you.

Waking up to the water views from our room was fantastic, and the rooms themselves were really good. The Sea Salt Spa was another highlight. The girls there were so fantastic that we went every day, and it was relaxing and professional. Rachael really looked after us throughout the stay, with Linda and Audrey being wonderful as well. Jessica and the management team were approachable and helpful, so things felt easy and welcoming. Rosie did a great job arranging our diving and snorkelling around my needs, and booked outside tours with Ruben. We highly recommend those, especially the visit to the war memorial, which was very special and moving. Amazing staff and unforgettable experiences. We can’t wait to come back. 🌴✨

The staff were super friendly and polite, but several things made the trip frustrating. We arrived at 4:45, well after the 2 pm check-in, and were told our room wasn’t ready, so we had to take another one. The bed had a broken wheel, too. I told reception twice and nothing happened, so I had to call again the next day and make it clear it was urgent. Boat trips from the mainland were very limited. There was no night boat, so going to the mainland for an evening out wasn’t possible. We also couldn’t have relatives come to the island for dinner, even though one of the boat staff offered a later lift back to the mainland. That was really inconvenient. Room service took two hours, and I had to keep calling to ask where the food was. They kept saying it was on its way. When it finally came, it was cold and half the order was missing. We waited another 30 minutes for the rest.

The facilities and gear available to both guests and day pass customers deserve five stars. The customer service needs a lot of improvement, though. Bookings are made 24 hours ahead, so waiting two hours to get meals because they weren’t prepared for the higher demand shouldn’t happen.
