RedDoorz Plus @ Altaroca Antipolo

The views around Altaroca Mountain Resort in Antipolo are super nice, and the staff were attentive, helpful, and easygoing. Our room was clean, modern, and new. We got a first-floor room behind the restaurant, which made for an easier hike 😅, though be ready to walk around on foot. I think they also offer assistance for PWDs and Seniors, but with stairs everywhere it may not work well for people who have trouble walking. The food tasted great, although the pasta was a little pricey. We loved the atmosphere and wished we could've stayed longer 🙂‍↕️

We were there as a family for my brother's wedding, already a busy and stressful time, and the hotel made it harder instead of being accommodating. After we checked out, staff accused us of taking a towel and demanded ₱1,800. It was shocking and insulting. Why would we take a towel while traveling for a family wedding? I even offered to let them check our belongings, but they kept insisting we pay and repeatedly pointed out that the towel was “imported,” as if that made the accusation reasonable. I've stayed in hotels in many countries, from budget places to luxury ones, and have never had hospitality or customer service this poor. A professional hotel should look into things properly instead of assuming guests are at fault and pressuring them to pay an unreasonable amount. We should have felt welcome and supported at an important family event. Instead, we felt stressed, accused, and disrespected, and the experience overshadowed what should've been a memorable occasion.

We came looking for peace and quiet, but loud team-building activities were happening right beside the common areas. When we checked the pool in the morning, it felt slimy, so we chose not to swim. The bathroom towel was stained and looked dirty and used, and there was no hot water. We requested a non-smoking room, but cigarette smell hit us as soon as we opened the door. There are lots of stairs, and the service was poor. Staff seemed annoyed when we asked for help, and there's no room service. If you're PWD, show your ID when you arrive and when ordering. They won't ask for it, then won't honor it at final billing. The food was mixed. The pizza was fine and coffee was free, but the fried chicken was dry, and the Sisig wasn't hot enough for the egg white to cook fully. Also, during a call, the front desk said to expect a 500-peso corkage fee per dish for outside delivery.

We were at Altaroca Mountain Resort from April 10-12, 2026 for a family celebration. It became deeply distressing because of a male staff member's behavior toward my 18-year-old daughter. He kept calling our room without a legitimate reason, made inappropriate personal comments about her, and delivered an ice bucket with a handwritten note inside. He also offered her a cocktail and tried to get her name by questioning our underaged relatives. After we checked out, he searched for my daughter on Instagram and followed her without her consent. That violated her privacy and abused his access to personal information. His behavior was unprofessional and predatory, and made our family, which included minors, feel unsafe. The resort failed in its basic duty of care. We've formally complained to management and are waiting for a response. Until serious changes are made to staff training, guest privacy policies, and supervision, I urge other families, especially those traveling with young women or minors, to avoid the resort.
