Staff are awesome, friendly, and kind, and the area is guarded and private from the public. But this wasn’t my first visit. I might have given it 3 stars the first time, but there’s been no improvement, so this time it’s 2. The place is falling apart even though prices have gone up over the past 6 months. We had to swap the burner three times before finding one that didn’t shock you when you touched the pot. There are cats everywhere, even in the apartelle, trying to eat your food or dig through the trash, and ants all over too. Keep the windows closed when you’re in or by the pool. The pool walls were being cleaned last time I was here, but they haven’t been touched since. There’s algae growing on them, and they feel slimy.

I’m honestly very disappointed in this resort. The pool walls looked disgusting, with green stuff on them, like they weren’t being cleaned or scrubbed properly. When I woke up, my ear really hurt because some contaminated water had gotten into it.

We stayed six nights at Middleton Apartelle in April, 2016, paying just over 2500 Philippine Pesos per night. We were unhappy with the stay and won’t return or recommend it. The room’s Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. We had to get the shower head replaced before it would work, and the water pressure was so low each day that showering barely worked. The office and restaurant area was very hot without air conditioning, and I felt sorry for the employees. We’d booked a room advertised with a kitchenette so we could make breakfast, but there was no stove. After we asked, they provided a one-burner portable electric cooktop. Breakfast wasn’t included either. By comparison, we later spent four nights at O Hotel in Bacolod City and then stayed at Dao Diamond Hotel in Tagbilaran City. Both had much better accommodations, working in-room Wi-Fi, a wonderful all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast included, showers that worked perfectly, and free bathroom kits. O Hotel cost only 1620 Php per night, and Dao Diamond was only 1990 Php per night. Both also gave us free shuttle service to the seaport or airport! May 2, 2016

We used to stay here every year for our visit to the divine mercy shrine, and it worked well for our big family group. We could cook our own food, there was a pool, the rooms were fine, and the aparatelles had two bathrooms. But the rates went up every time we visited. It also got very noisy outside, especially when people had parties, and we couldn’t sleep properly.

Poor accommodation. You can go in whenever you want, but if you sit down or bring food, they charge corkage. They also ask for too many payments for petty things, like bringing water, and don’t allow you to bring anything.
