City Suites - Ramos

The balcony view was a highlight, especially after dark, and the bed was comfortable enough for a great night’s sleep. My room was spacious, clean, and had modern amenities. City Suites Ramos Tower is close to everything, yet quiet enough to relax. From arrival on, the service felt warm and professional. Housekeeping, reception, and security were all friendly and attentive, and ready to help make my stay smooth. I had an amazing time here and would highly recommend it for a comfortable, convenient stay in Cebu.

Don’t count on being checked in. My booking was confirmed, but when I arrived the host said the previous guest had extended their stay and the room was no longer available. He blamed me for not replying to his reminders, though they’d only been sent that same day. I replied later that day, before arriving, but he never told me the booking had been cancelled. I lost money on the cab and had to walk around with my bags in 30°+ heat to find somewhere else. The place was dirty, and I saw cockroaches in the lobby. The host blamed me despite my reply arriving the day before I got there. He offered another room, but the building administration knew nothing about it. I don’t recommend staying there. The host lies about everything.

We spent five nights here and would stay again if we were in the area. The room had a balcony with a lovely city and mountain view, and the internet worked really well, except for one outage. We contacted the host and got a quick response. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance, plus several convenience stores nearby. A laundry place is attached to the building on the ground floor, so you can get to it without going outside. The building is also close to the main street, and there’s a security guard at the front entrance. One elevator was being maintained during our stay, leaving just one in service, so getting to and from the room took a while. At least they do maintain the elevators.

The main drawback for some people may be parking, which costs an extra 500 PHP per night. Still, the convenient Uptown Cebu City location and quality of the stay may make that worthwhile. The units at City Suites at Ramos Towers are spacious and comfortable, with well-equipped kitchens and balconies overlooking the mountains, city, and ocean. It’s a pleasant place to relax after exploring, and a convenient option for either business or leisure.
