Rovira Suites

The pool was clean and nicely shaded, and the air conditioners worked well. Breakfast costs extra, but it was hot, tasty, and generous. I liked the clean washrooms and welcoming reception area too. The beds and linens were comfortable, and the hotel itself was clean. They left bottled water and a few small soft drinks in the fridge. Coffee was good, just brewed coffee, served very hot. I'd definitely stay again.

The room had a balcony, a roomy bathroom, a fridge, and a comfortable bed. My only minor gripe was the dated TV. They could do away with cable and put in smart TVs.

Rovira Suites worked out really well when a planned power outage was due in our area. It's a quiet, well-kept business hotel in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, and the location makes it easy to get out for food. Restaurants, cafés, and bars are within walking distance. Northpoint by the sea is about a 25-minute walk, with relaxing views and more places to eat and drink. Our room had two double beds and plenty of space, and it was clean with cold air conditioning, a welcome break from the daytime heat. The bathroom was spotless, the shower worked, and the water pressure was good. We also had a private terrace where we could enjoy meals peacefully. The pool was lovely, well maintained, and suitable for families. There's no regular restaurant, but you can order meals through the front desk or by phone, then eat in your room or in one of the hotel's dining areas. We chose to stay in the room, and it was all easy and convenient. A comfortable choice for a night, a city break, or a business stay.

We spent four days in Dumaguete, the city of gentle people, and had a superb stay at Rovira. My beautiful wife and I were welcomed by Mica and Arianne, two fantastic staff members whose smiles and hospitality stood out. They told us the toiletries, four sodas, and two bottles of mineral water were complimentary gifts. We travel a lot and have never been given so much.
