Junie Pension House was a highlight of my time in Cebu. It had a relaxed mix of home and holiday, and I'd gladly come back to Moalboal to see everyone again. I was traveling alone, but it seems suited to friends or couples too. For the price and experience, it's a real gem. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always smiling. They greeted me like an old friend, and one evening they put together a little gathering with home-cooked food. That thoughtful touch made the stay feel special. I slept really well because it was quiet at night. The room was simple, clean, and comfortable, with working air con, a strong hot shower, and everything I needed after snorkeling with sardines or chasing waterfalls. Panagsama Beach, restaurants, and dive shops are a short walk away, while the house is far enough from the party scene to stay peaceful. Wi-Fi was strong, parking was free, and there was a cozy outdoor sitting area that was nice for morning coffee or a chat with other travelers.

Clean, simple, and comfortable. Places like this aren't easy to find in the Philippines. I just missed having a kettle and some cups for coffee 🙂

We booked it because we had few options and needed somewhere with parking. The beach and restaurants were a long walk away. The receptionist barely smiled and wasn't very friendly, and nobody helped carry our luggage upstairs. We found other places with breakfast, lower prices, and friendlier staff. I definitely wouldn't stay here again.

Jane, Eric, the staff, and their family made us feel at home every day. We'd spent a month staying in different places around the Philippines, and this was our favorite by far. Every evening was fun, and they helped arrange everything we needed. We'll come back to Moalboal to hang out with our pals at this great guest house. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean, with warm, powerful showers. They cooked a delicious breakfast when we needed it before a day trip. The bar was great in the evenings, including karaoke. WiFi was strong, there were no power outages, and drinking water was unlimited. Booking our excellent canyoneering trip through the guesthouse was easy, and it was simple to get to the beach and main strip. They even gave us a coffee liqueur each evening for free just because they're legends. It felt very safe for any traveler.

I spent four nights here while taking a scuba diving course, and the distance to the beach area and dive centers was just right. I liked having a short walk before the day's activities. The rooms were clean and comfortable for a really good price, and the staff were very helpful. They made us feel genuinely welcome. I can't think of anything bad to say about Junie Pension House.
