The Honda Bay tour seemed overpriced: they charge ₱1450, while the travel agent just a 50m walk away charges ₱1300 for it. The hotel itself is decent for a budget-ish stay, and the location makes it easy to walk five minutes to good restaurants. Breakfast was nice, though having to choose what you want the night before felt a bit odd. Our A/C was extremely noisy, so we switched it off overnight. Annoying for the price, but not a huge deal.

My room was the first one on the right. The hot shower worked perfectly, the AC was cold, and the cable TV was working. Staff were helpful with recommendations and directions to places I wanted to visit, including where to get tamilok. When I sat in the reception/common area to use Wi-Fi, they brought me a fan without me asking. The cool air from the AC did have a musty smell, so it may need cleaning. There’s also a place to dry laundry.

We had a pleasant stay. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and the staff were helpful. The air con in our room was quite noisy, which got a little annoying.

We left in the middle of the night after a blackout meant they had to start the generator right outside our window. The staff were very kind, but when we asked for breakfast to go, that wasn't possible. The room also wasn't very clean and had no charm.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were large and clean. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby, where the chairs are painfully uncomfortable. There was no cell signal in our room either.
