The CLiffhouse Samboan

The sunset views were beautiful, and the food was wonderful. My partner and I stayed here for my birthday, and the owner made the place feel like home. The service was perfect, and the whole team made us feel so welcome. It was such a lovely stay, truly worth visiting. We both wish we could have stayed longer, and want to thank everyone for everything.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, and the food was tasty with generous servings. Room and meal prices seemed much lower than at other places offering a similar level of service and quality, so it felt like money well spent. I also found out the property is for sale, which could be a good opportunity for someone looking to run a boutique resort. We stayed at The Cliffhouse Samboan in February, not long after this charming boutique resort had opened. Its quaint, elegant feel is cozy and inviting, with plenty of thoughtful touches. The woodwork, tiles, lighting, furnishings, and decor all work together nicely. Inside, rustic details sit alongside modern comforts, making the rooms feel romantic and homey while still surprisingly luxurious. There are six spacious rooms on the ground level, with room to relax and move around. A garden path leads to the infinity pool, which looks out over the sea, and stairs go down to the shoreline. You can eat indoors or outside, with lovely views and a comfortable indoor space or a breezy outdoor setting. Upstairs, there’s a function room for groups of up to 75, as well as two karaoke rooms for gatherings. The manager showed us the third level, which was still being worked on and was planned to have seven more rooms facing the sea or mountains, plus a roof deck with a 360-degree view. The placement of the rooms makes the most of the sky, sea, garden, and mountain scenery, giving the place a close connection with nature. The Cliffhouse Samboan is a carefully put together place to unwind, with a lovely mix of nature, comfort, and style.

The view was stunning, and the pool was exceptional. But we were hugely disappointed by the customer service. The staff should be friendlier and stop telling guests what to do.

We travel often and have stayed at plenty of resorts as a Fil/Australian family. My fourteen-year-old son thinks this place is luxurious.
