Microtel by Wyndham San Fernando, Pampanga

After long days of company evaluations, the beds were a welcome place to crash, and they live up to their reputation. The rooms were clean, practical, and quiet enough to get ready for meetings. We spent two days at Microtel Pampanga for our annual company evaluation, and being next to NLEX and major malls made getting to our work venues easy. A convenient, comfortable option for corporate travel.

The main drawbacks were modest: the TV is old, low-resolution, and not smart; Wi-Fi was a little slow but usable; and a few pillowcases had faint stains that you only notice when looking closely. Otherwise, Microtel San Fernando offers good value. The rates are affordable, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely furnished for the price. Beds, pillows, and linens were comfortable, the A/C worked well, and the large bathroom was clean with strong water pressure and an easy-to-adjust heater. There are nearly 40 parking spaces, and the surrounding area feels quite nice and upscale. Staff were friendly, and the well-kept lobby smelled good and felt welcoming. The pool was clean and maintained, and breakfast was decent and affordable as an add-on. It even has a safety deposit box despite being a budget hotel. The issues didn't affect our stay much.

The checkout left us dissatisfied. We were unexpectedly charged extra because the hotel said there were more occupants than allowed. We hadn't been clearly told the occupancy rules at check-in, so the charge felt unreasonable and poorly explained. The room had two beds, which had led us to think it could accommodate more than one person. Earlier, we arrived around noon after a tiring trip with a child. We knew check-in officially began at 2:00 PM, but were left waiting in the lobby for almost two hours without an effort to help us or offer a suitable place to rest. We were exhausted and sleepy. At about 1:45 PM, staff finally let us go to the room, apparently after noticing our young child. We appreciated that, but it came late. From check-in through checkout, our stay at Microtel Pampanga was disappointing. Traveling with family, we expected clearer policies, better service, and more consideration. The long wait, inflexible handling, and surprise charge left us unhappy. I hope management reviews its service, check-in process, and how it explains occupancy rules so others don't have the same experience.

Hosting the event here was a happy experience. Coordination was easy, with quick replies and flexible arrangements. Jamm was especially helpful, and the whole process was smooth and hassle-free.
