The whole area feels like a step back into the past, with antique houses that people still live in and have brought back to life. The main house is big. Our family room felt like a suite, with two bedrooms and a sala (living room) between them, though there’s just one bathroom for the unit, inside one of the bedrooms. You can wear Filipiniana costumes and have a pictorial in the house across the way. There’s also an in-house restaurant, and please try the barako coffee, it’s one of my favorites. One of the most beautiful churches I’ve seen is only a short walk away. Such a nostalgic little old town. Worth the trip!

The meal was a pleasant surprise. I went with a local Filipino friend, and we had several different dishes. I chose the thin-crust pizza, which was as good as any I’ve had in North America or Europe. Service was great, and the setting is beautiful and peaceful. It’s a lovely building in a unique location. Walking through the front door toward the restaurant feels like stepping into the past, with well-preserved artifacts all around. I was really impressed and would absolutely recommend it.

We got lucky and found a table at their restaurant even though we hadn’t reserved. The food was tasty. They focus on Italian cuisine, but we went for the popular Filipino favorite platter.

We liked the place enough to come back with other guests after visiting before. It’s right in the heart of Taal Municipality, with an amazing view, fresh air, and really great food. The customer service is very good too. The staff go out of their way to make guests comfortable and give them a memorable experience.
