GV Hotel Valencia City

The hotel is right by the public market, traffic terminal and highway, which is very convenient. But there are no windows that open and no elevator. Cleanliness and the service and staff were average, and the street view wasn't much to look at. There were hardly any amenities. I booked the "Luxury room," but by hotel standards elsewhere, it was below average. The price was just under 1000 pesos, about half the usual rate, and for that amount it was average. I'd only come here for a reasonable bed and a shower.

The people at GV Hotel in Valencia City were warm and helpful, and the stay itself was comfortable and affordable. I was there for 10 days to visit my girlfriend, though the WiFi was a real nuisance. It kept dropping, so I had to reconnect about every 15 minutes, especially frustrating when I was video calling my family in the States. They should set up an official hotel network too, since an open network can leave guests vulnerable to hackers. Aside from that, I appreciated the crew.

There’s a parking lot for guests, and a bank right beside the hotel if you need cash. The room was fine and had air conditioning, but WiFi only worked in the lobby and was slow. There were no guest slippers or free shampoo, and you had to buy mineral water and food. The TV had about five channels, I think, two local and three cable. It’s a quiet, decent place to sleep.

Getting around from here is easy, and the staff are approachable. They don't serve meals, though, and the blankets are really thin.
