Lorf Hostel&Coffee

We had a sleepless night because the other room was noisy, and we could hear people talking outside along with all the passing vehicles. The worst part, though, was the staff. One woman rudely asked if we had a reservation, even though there was a PIN on the door and we couldn’t have entered without one. Then she told us to leave the room. So rude and a liar. The next day I took my toiletries and towel to the CR, then went back to my room for something I’d forgotten. A woman went in ahead of me, so I had to wait. After she came out, I found she’d used my towel to wipe her private part. It smelled terribly disgusting. I’m glad I checked before using it on my face. Using someone else’s things in such a filthy way, then smiling at me, was awful. Worst memories!

For around 60 polish zl in a shared room in centrum, it wasn’t bad if you’re desperate. There’s a locker for a small backpack and clothes, and staff politely asked people who ignored quiet hours to keep it down. The bunk beds were unstable and squeaked whenever you moved. In a 10-person room, you have to put your own sheets on, which is noisy and wakes up roommates. Showering was a funny experience: the water switched between boiling hot and cold within seconds, probably because lots of people were showering at once.

We came from Türkiye to see my daughter, but as soon as we walked in, there was a strong damp, musty smell. I had respiratory surgery last month, and even if I’d been healthy, I wouldn’t have wanted to stay somewhere that might risk my health. I definitely don’t recommend this place!

The price doesn’t match the quality, and I wouldn’t recommend this hostel to anyone who cares about cleanliness and comfort while traveling. The rooms were dirty and smelled old and damp. The bedding looked unclean, and the towels were worn and clearly hadn’t been washed properly. The shared bathrooms were in terrible shape, with dirty surfaces, dried soap, and a persistent damp smell.
