San Juan Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino

The beach was fantastic, and we really enjoyed the oceanfront view and the sound of the waves. It was a great place for our kids, and the front desk staff were patient, courteous, and understanding when I raised concerns. The stay had some bumps. We weren't checked in until 5:30 p.m. even though 4 p.m. had been promised, and I had to go ask at the desk. The area was extremely busy, so I could understand some of the delay, but the room could have felt more enjoyable amid all the commotion. It also needed more amenities, the shower kept clogging, and housekeeping missed one night. Those felt like minor issues, I thought, but the average nightly cost with resort fees was close to $1,000.

The pool and beach service was very good, and I appreciated being able to get pool towels. The lifeguards were attentive too. I liked the location since there weren't many locals trying to sell you things. I'd recommend staying here, and I plan to come back.

Wi-Fi was the one thing that could use work. It was pretty unstable, so anyone planning to work should have another way to get online. The ocean view is lovely, the property is well organized, and it works really well for a trip with small kids. Breakfast was quite decent, with several good restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly, especially Grace de Jesus at reception. A lovely stay.

The room was lovely and clean, with beautiful views of both the ocean and the city. The property is gorgeous, well cared for, and has a great feel throughout. We also really enjoyed the brunch, and the casino was fun. The staff made the stay especially memorable. Everyone was welcoming and kind, and when they found out it was my birthday, they surprised me with balloons, a Happy Birthday sign, champagne, and candies. It was thoughtful and made me feel special. The service and atmosphere were wonderful, and I'd happily stay again.
