Flamboyan Guest House

We spent mornings and evenings on the balcony, enjoying a perfect ocean view. The apartment was exactly what we wanted and more, and Alyssa and Matt have thought of so many things guests might need. The room had plates, cutlery, cups, beach chairs and towels, and lovely art. In the shared kitchen there was coffee, two fridges, filtered cold water, snorkel gear, hammocks, beach toys, and more. They even gave us ice each day for our picnic cooler. The location is right in the middle of everything, within walking distance of beautiful beaches and bio bay tours. Duffy’s downstairs serves great food and drinks, and the staff are cheerful. Our hosts were attentive and thoughtful. I can’t say enough good things and would highly recommend Flamboyan Guesthouse in Esperanza.

We loved the room and the spot right on the strip, and parking was easy. Room 4 was lovely, clean, and spacious enough, with a side balcony and a partial ocean view. It was quiet at night from Monday to Thursday, though bright in the morning. The room came with towels, chairs, and a cooler, plus there was a cold water cooler and a shared fridge. We had a little trouble with the door code, but the host responded quickly and left us a key.

The ocean views were gorgeous, and the restaurant downstairs was delicious. Everything in Esperanza was close by. We were glad to have free use of the snorkel gear. The rooms were comfortable and stayed cool. I’d happily stay here again.

The room was nice, with a comfortable bed and useful things like beach chairs. But our two nights were ruined by people blasting obnoxious, low-quality imitation pop-techno music in the street until after 4am. Maybe it was Bar La Nasa, or just some local dirtbags, but it was bad enough that I’ll never stay in Esperanza again.
