Jarir, the owner, was the highlight. He’s amazing, looked after me so well, and gave me a wonderful Palestinian experience. Thanks for such a great stay, and I hope I can come back. The hostel is also very clean and central to Manara and Snow Bar, with big, comfortable dorm beds and a great bathroom.

The rooms and shared area are nice, with great views, and the hostel is in a handy spot with easy access to downtown Ramallah. My concern is the owner: he made advances toward me when I was traveling alone, and I’ve heard he has been unnecessarily touchy with other women staying there too. I wouldn’t recommend this hostel to women traveling solo.

From here it’s an easy walk to the Arafat museum, and the place is right by the steps leading to Radio Road in Central Ramallah. The location worked perfectly for us. We were on the fourth floor of a block, but inside it was tasteful and well kept. Our double had a large, comfortable bed, and everything was clean and smart. There was a strong hot shower, a well-stocked kitchen with tea and coffee for residents, and a big reception and lounge with great views.

The manager is a really nice person and speaks many languages, which helped make the Palestinian welcome feel so warm. It’s also got a good social atmosphere for young people. A really good place to stay in Ramallah, and I’d strongly recommend it.

The owner lets guests use his rooftop terrace and pool, which is more than I’d expect from a hostel. The beds are big and comfy, and the vibe is open and friendly. This place is just amazing.
