Finding the building after our taxi dropped us off was the trickiest part. Once inside, we had a spacious, clean apartment with comfortable beds, and the location gave us plenty of lively options nearby without the noise. There are quite a few stairs, which might be difficult for some.

The apartment had lots of natural light and was spacious, with two bedrooms downstairs and a large upstairs room with five single beds. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, though I wasn't sure the blankets had been washed, and I wished the whole place had been deep-cleaned. My niece woke the next day with bad itching and a large lump on her left arm, so something had clearly bitten her while she slept. We were two families, eight people in all, in a three-bedroom apartment on the very top floor. Be prepared for lots of stairs, since there's no elevator.

The apartment was modern and very clean. It's a convenient base for visiting Lisboa: the bus stop is right in front, and you can walk to a lift in about five minutes to get to the center.
