The room felt impossible to breathe in. Booking.com’s photos showed windows, but our actual room had none. When we complained, they said it wasn’t their business and told us to contact Booking.com support. The hotel is also too far from the city center. This place is a big scam.

They cancelled our reservation on check-in day, even though we’d booked about a week earlier, and didn’t tell us. Apparently, they’d made a pricing mistake. Instead of contacting us, they left us scrambling at the last minute with our 11-year-olds. We reached out and said we were willing to meet them halfway, but that didn’t change anything. What a bad move! P.S. We found something much better for a lower price. After passing by the Dom Joao hotel, we were glad we hadn’t stayed there. It looked really outdated and crappy.

I’d booked several weeks ahead, but when I arrived they told me they’d overbooked and cancelled my reservation. No one had even informed me. All I got was “Sorry.” It was a busy week in Lisbon, and there wasn’t a room anywhere in the city for less than 1000€ a night. If you book this hotel, you’d better have another one lined up in case they change their mind.

The room felt fresh and modern, and it was nice and clean. The people were welcoming, and reception stays open 24 hours. The location worked well too, with what you need not far away.
