Lis at the front desk was really friendly and professional, as was the barman on the morning shift, whose name I didn’t catch. The hotel is charming and right in central Lisbon, and it was very clean with a good breakfast. We had a great stay. Thanks to everyone for the hospitality!

The hotel was good value for money, and they even stored our bags for free after checkout. Breakfast was gourmet and served in a very romantic space. The staff were extremely friendly and gave excellent service. The central location is handy for Tram-28 Square, where you can hire a TukTuk for 5-7 hours to see Lisbon’s main sights. That seemed better than squeezing onto the crowded Tram-28. Highly recommend.

The staff were warm and welcoming, and there were some thoughtful touches, like a fresh sealed bottle of water each day and free refills at the bar. We stayed in the Artist Room. It was cozy and cleverly laid out, though space was tight, with only enough floor room for two carry-on bags. There’s a private bathroom and shower, but no chairs or extra seating. The location keeps you close to everything without being right in the middle of the action. The hotel sits on a hill, so there’s an incline in either direction. Nearby elevators help: one a few doors away goes to Chiado, while the one across the street takes you up toward Alfama and São Jorge Castle. Bifanas do Afonso is only steps away, and you can see the queue from some rooms. If you book a city-view room, ask for the 2nd floor or above, since lower down you may mostly see the terrace and rooftops. One thing to consider is that you don’t need a key card or badge to enter the building, which may matter if security is a priority.

I hadn’t expected much from a last-minute booking, but I loved this place. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had an amazing view. Lara was so warm and had great recommendations, and Bruno made the best cocktails I’ve ever had. This is where I’d want to stay if I come back to Lisbon.
