The bathroom layout was the main drawback for me. It has no door, so there’s little privacy, and the insulation is poor enough that sounds carry into the room and toilet area. I also had to ask how things like the pool worked because there was very little information on arrival or in the room. The pool could be heated during winter, too. There’s a lot to like: the hotel is beside bus and metro stops, yet we heard no noise at reception or in our backyard-facing room. Free popcorn at reception is a fun touch. Rooms have a modern look, colored adjustable lights, automatic blinds, and Bluetooth speakers. Since the theme is music, each room has its own style, including rock, pop, dance, jazz, hip-hop, fado, and classical, from top to bottom. Higher floors have nice views. Breakfast was among the tastiest we’ve had, with a great selection of pastries and cakes that changes daily. The nachos and fresh orange juice were a big plus, and Ruben, the breakfast attendant, was attentive and very nice. The hotel’s website also gives a good description of what’s served.

Gonçalo and Livia took such good care of us during our stay at HF Fénix Music Hotel. The whole staff were friendly and helpful. After checkout, we went out to explore Lisbon, and they safely kept our backpacks until it was time to head to the airport. Their warm, professional attitude made things much easier for us. I’d recommend this hotel for the service and an easy, enjoyable stay.

The staff were so friendly. There was a mix-up and they thought I had a complaint, though I only had a message. They even offered me a plate of fruit to make up for it. Really kind and service-minded. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, with both a handheld shower and a rain showerhead. There was a fridge and complimentary bottled water. Breakfast had a wide spread, from rolls, toppings, yogurt, muesli, fruit, juice, and pastries to prosecco. On January 3rd, they had music and dancing at breakfast for New Year’s, which was nicely organized. Fresh popcorn is also free in the lobby. Fenix ​​Music Hotel is in a handy spot, with shops and restaurants close by and the hop-on hop-off bus across the street. There’s a red carpet at the entrance, and when you step on it, you hear camera shutters and music starts playing. I’d recommend the hotel!

The breakfast was fantastic, with a big choice of good-quality food, and Paulo Ceita was especially welcoming. He was lovely with my 10-year-old son and made him feel at home. The pool was great too, with unreal city views, and it wasn’t too cold for us, unlike some other reviews had suggested. We stayed in October 2025, and both the room and the service made for a brilliant visit. The hotel deserves better than its 3-star rating, in my view. It’s very central, only a 2-3 minute walk from the Metro and about 20 minutes from the airport by Metro. Our room was quiet and dark thanks to the blackout blinds. Thanks, HF Music!
