Holiday Inn Express and Suites Lisbon Principe Real by IHG

We were a family of four, with two twin rooms and balconies for five nights, and had a really good stay. The rooms and shared areas felt fresh and stylish after the recent refurbishment. Staff were professional, very helpful, and quick to respond to emails before we arrived. We liked the safe, quiet feel of the stylish residential neighborhood. Lisbon is hilly, so we found Uber both affordable and the easiest way to get around. The rooms were spacious, with comfortable beds, good linen, and good showers. We also had a lovely view across Lisbon toward the water. The generous breakfast buffet was a great start to a busy day of sightseeing. We’d stay again when we’re in Lisbon.

Breakfast was a real highlight, especially the well-baked pastries. There’s Pastel de nata every day, and the vrea options change, though the fruit runs out early and isn’t replenished. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable, with a balcony and seating. It’s a newer place with a pleasant modern design. Add a few things like a fridge or safe and it could feel more like a four-star hotel.

We spent five days and four nights here and had a lovely stay. There’s a good restaurant in the hotel, and the breakfast was really nice. Our bed was very comfortable, and the lobby felt welcoming. The lift could be slow sometimes, but it didn’t cause us any trouble. The hotel sits partway up the slope, with a Korean mart, McDonald’s, Continente supermarket and several restaurants within walking distance. We’d happily recommend it.

The hotel is outside the main tourist areas, though it’s an easy walk to them. We found the room clean, modern and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast comes included and had an excellent range of choices.
