LSA Baixa Chiado by Numa

The location is the only good thing. The flooring is warped and loose, and makes noise all through the apartment. Someone walking in the living room can wake up whoever's in the bedroom. The staircase noise from other guests is even worse, so there's no peace. Stay away from this dump.

Getting inside was a rough start because the temporary door code didn't work. Another family happened to let us in. The apartment was a decent size and had what we needed, plus the AC was strong. The location worked well, with most attractions within walking distance, and the room was cleaned daily. The shower pressure was great, but the WiFi dropped out now and then. The floors creaked, and the beds were much too firm for me, with very flat pillows. There’s a washing machine, though each detergent tablet costs 1 Euro.

We were very happy with our stay and would recommend apartment 2.1, even for a week or longer. It’s in a perfect spot, close to the metro, restaurants, the sea, and 28. The rooms and beds were clean, and the place felt hygienic. We visited in winter, so it was quiet, and the wooden shutters kept the light out well for sleeping. A few things could be better: the air conditioner needs servicing because it’s noisy, the bathroom towel heater didn’t work, and the hairdryer only worked on its low setting. The beds are full orthopedic, while the pillows and sheets were perfect.

We found the luggage lockers after checkout really useful, and the service was efficient and well organized. The apartment is right in the centre, so everything is easy to reach on foot. It can get noisy at night, partly from street cleaning. Light sleepers should be careful about that.
