For a few days, the spacious, tidy room worked well. We liked the location, the fridge and small kitchen, the comfortable bed, and the WiFi, which worked great. I can’t comment on the staff since we didn’t meet anyone. A few drawbacks: there’s no AC and the room gets hot. The windows don’t block all the bar noise, and hallway sounds carry easily. There’s no bathroom window, and the ventilation didn’t seem to work, so it got smelly if we forgot to open the door before leaving. My girlfriend also didn’t like the pillow, which was quite big, and there was only one size. Bring your own if you prefer a different size.

The bed was awful, made from what looked like recycled boards screwed together in a hurry, and it squeaked with every move. I killed three cockroaches in the bathroom during our stay, so you’re likely to have company. That bathroom is a plasterboard extension with no ventilation and untiled walls that seem to have only been repainted with oil paint. The finish around the apartment looks like a skilled builder worked on it. The street is busy, and the room was incredibly noisy even with the windows shut, making it hard to sleep. There’s no air conditioning either, so I can’t imagine staying in a corner. The location is useful as a base for exploring Lisbon, but I wasn’t pleased with the place. WiFi was available, but only at random intervals. Personally, I’d avoid it.
