The staff were nice, breakfast was fresh, and the location was good. That's about all I can praise. The rooms are in the basement with no air conditioning, and the windows can't be opened, leaving a terrible foul smell and no access to fresh air. The shared bathrooms are awful, though they were cleaned. Despite the kind staff, I can't recommend this place.

This new place still seemed to be under construction, and it had a strange smell. The welcome was basic. My room wasn't clean, with some beetles and lots of long black hairs on the beds. Breakfast was a joke. Food was left out day and night, so we didn't try it. A generator started making a lot of noise at 8am, though after an hour you get used to it.

The location made it easy to explore the city, with the center an easy walk away. We stayed four nights. Our double room was small, as expected, but we hadn't expected it to be in the basement. It had little daylight and felt a bit like a cellar. It seemed reasonably clean, with no signs of bedbugs or anything like that. Breakfast was very basic, and there wasn't really a proper place to eat it, just a tiny living room with two couches and a couple of chairs. You get what you pay for, but don't expect anything special.

We had booked three nights in June, but left after just one. As soon as we entered the hostel, or basement, there was a really bad smell. Our room had two double beds that looked like children's beds and several cupboards with padlocks that didn't work. There was a window, but we couldn't open it because of the smell outside, so we had no fresh air. The walls were in terrible condition and covered in mould. The beds and bedding weren't clean or fresh either. We found hair and dirt, probably left by previous visitors. In the morning my friend's whole body was covered in a rash. We realized insects had bitten her, and when we got outside we saw bedbugs on our clothes. We had to throw all our clothes away because we were worried about our health and about carrying the insects somewhere else, including home. The staff didn't seem to care or show any regret when we explained what had happened. This was the worst place I've ever stayed. I regret paying for that night. Reviews for this hostel must be written by staff, because the photos and description have nothing to do with what we found. Stay away if you care about your health, money, and well-being.
