I’m still trying to sort out charges for two reservations when I only made one. Booking could see just one booking on my account, and said the email used for the second one didn’t match. They were willing to refund me, but needed the property to confirm in writing. Instead, the property says I made both bookings and have to pay, and sent Booking an invoice for two units under my name for the exact same dates. I’ve told them the second reservation was fraudulent, but they still want the money. I’m now facing nearly $2,000 instead of the $988 charge, and have applied for a payment plan for the $988 reservation, which was fraudulent to begin with. Please don’t let this turn your vacation into a nightmare.

We had a lovely stay and hope to come back next time we’re in Lisbon. The apartment was clean and polished, with tasteful, charming furnishings and everything we needed to feel at home. It was also spacious and comfortable, and within a reasonable walk of all the worthwhile sights.

The location made exploring easy, with Praça do Comercio, boats, trains, restaurants, bars, and plenty more close by. At Rua Boavista 45 apartments, we found a spacious, modern place with a lovely terrace balcony, a comfortable bed, and simple, relaxing decor. The kitchen had everything we could need, and the apartment was spotless and cared for down to the details. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the other guests were considerate and quiet. There’s a 24/7 number if you need help, and the free wife was pretty reliable, even on the balcony. I really can’t recommend this business and its apartments enough. I can’t understand how anyone could have a negative experience here.

The apartment looked nice, but it was far too expensive for what we got, even before the problems. Entry uses combination locks for both the building and flat, and someone on the street could easily watch you enter the code and then break in after you leave. There’s no reception, and getting a response by text or email was difficult. We were meant to check in from 3pm, but a man outside told us the apartment wasn’t clean yet. We agreed to return at 7pm, only to find it still wasn’t ready. We finally got in at 8pm, losing half a day and having to cancel an evening event we’d already booked. The shower drain was blocked from the start, and the dishwasher was broken and smelled awful. We reported both issues twice, but nothing was done. For three days the bathroom flooded and we had no working dishwasher. The owner still hasn’t replied or offered any compensation. I’d be careful, this felt like a fraudulent business.
